Solid State Probe (SS-1)

This probe is designed to be used exclusively with the Scorbitron. It sits in the display path for solid state pinball machines, sending the data to the Scorbitron. The Scorbitron then passes the data back to the probe, which in turn drives the display.

The advantage of this probe is that it allows the Scorbitron to display messages on the solid state displays when appropriate. However, this also means that if the probe is disconnected, the display will turn off.

This probe has a 28 pin input connector and 28 pin output connector. It connects to header J1 on the machine's MPU board, and is keyed for that pinout.
